Founded Sandhill Crane Diagnostics in 2016 to develop products for improving access to medical testing in low-resource communities. Sylvia founded Molecular Diagnostics Consulting in 2010 to provide efficient and affordable guidance to startup companies developing IVD diagnostic products. Sylvia is certified in Project Management (PMP#1357539, Sept 2010-2019) and Essentials of Regulatory Affairs (UCSD extension; June 2014). She is a contributor to the WHO Prequalification of In Vitro Diagnostics Programme and a peer reviewer for NIH & CARB-X grants. Sylvia is dedicated to promoting life science entrepreneurship through her membership on the Board of San Diego Entrepreneurs Exchange.
