Worked as a medicinal chemist and as a pharmaceutical process research chemist, prior to attending law school.  Has represented clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies since 2001, with extensive experience in patent law and related business matters.

Helps clients protect, patent and commercialize inventions, assert their IP rights, and defend against infringement allegations.  Litigation experience runs the gamut from pre-litigation investigations through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals to the federal circuit.

Manages global patent portfolios and prepares, files and prosecutes patent applications in a variety of technological areas.  Prepares validity, infringement, freedom-to-operate and patentability opinions.  Helps facilitate IP transactions, including due diligence investigations.  Provides strategic intellectual property counseling, including on portfolio development, patent term extensions, regulatory exclusivity and orange book listings.
