Flow Paradigm Moving to New Facility

Reveal Biosciences Moves to New Facility

Congratulations to Reveal Biosciences, LLC on their continued success in the San Diego community. Founder and CEO, Claire Weston PhD first bootstrapped the company in 2012 after she "identified a strong need for a high quality contract research organization focusing on tissue-based research". Reveal Biosciences has grown quickly since then, recently announcing a partnership agreement with Affymetrix, Inc.

Charles River Laboratories Announces Agreement to Acquire WIL Research

Charles River Laboratories announced on January 7, 2016 the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire WIL Research. This acquisition will "enhance Charles River’s global footprint, scientific capabilities, and access to growing end markets, which provides a compelling value proposition for both clients and shareholders".

Reveal Biosciences Partners with Affymetrix for RNA Biomarker Services

Reveal Biosciences announced a partnership agreement with Affymetrix that will enable Reveal to offer new RNA biomarker validation services. Reveal will use Affymetrix ViewRNA ISH products combined with their proprietary ImageDx software to provide RNA in situ hybridization (ISH) staining, imaging and quantification services.

Certara Hosts Seminar on Biosimulation, September 16, 2015

In the last couple of years there has been a breakthrough in Modeling and Simulation called PBPK (Physiological-Based Pharmacokinetics or SIMCYP) that regulators have used and encouraged sponsors to use for providing information on a drug label.  In fact it has become expected that PBPK be included in submission materials.  
The approach that Certara uses, and that the FDA is using/encouraging, could result in avoiding a clinical trial, and certainly can impact your label claims.  In the very least it well help companies  inform dosing, look at special populations, help design more precise clinical trials and of course save time and money.   This technology is not extremely well known, so we are trying to publicize it’s use as well.
